How retroreflection works
Partially embedded glass beads redirect incoming light toward its source, making the road marking more visible to an approaching driver.
Embedment matters
Beads need appropriate embedment into the binder. Too little or too much embedment can reduce the effectiveness of the finished marking.
Specify the complete system
Discuss the bead grading, surface treatment, binder compatibility and intended application method together. Nighttime performance should be assessed on the installed system.
